This policy explains what personal data MRG Auto Repair collects through this website, why, who it is shared with, and your rights. It also explains how we use cookies.

What we collect and why
Contact form
When you request a callback or send a message we collect your name and mobile number, and, if you give them, your email address and message. We use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work.
Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Online booking
Bookings are made through TechMan, the garage management system we use. When you book, TechMan collects your vehicle registration, contact details and appointment details on our behalf, so we can carry out the work and contact you about it.

Phone, email and WhatsApp
If you contact us directly, we use your details to deal with your request. WhatsApp messages are handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Website measurement and advertising
With your consent, we use Google tags to understand how visitors use the site and how our Google Ads perform, for example whether someone who clicked an ad then called us, sent the contact form or opened the booking page. See Cookies below.
Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf:
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
- TechMan runs our online booking and workshop records.
- Google provides Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement and the map on our contact section (all only with your consent), and the fonts used on this site.
- Featurable supplies the Google reviews shown on our home page. No data about you is sent to it beyond what any website request includes.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 12 months.
- Customer, vehicle and invoice records: 6 years after the work, to meet tax and legal obligations.
- Google measurement data: as set in our Google account, up to 14 months.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We only set non-essential cookies if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you reject them or ignore the banner, Google receives only basic, cookieless signals that cannot identify you.

Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, where we no longer need to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- send your data to you or another organisation in a portable format;
- stop using it where you gave consent (withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before).

Complaints
